Absolutely amazing Italian restaurant! The food was outstanding — we ordered the mortadella pizza, Wagyu beef pizza, gnocchi, and fettuccini carbonara for mains, plus fried pizza pockets and bruschetta for entrees, and everything was delicious. The pizzas were a standout; the dough in particular was top-notch and clearly made with care. The service was 10/10 — incredibly friendly, sweet staff who made the experience even better. The vibe of the place was warm and enjoyable, making it a great spot to dine in. We travelled all the way from the west and were definitely not disappointed. It was 100% worth the drive. The only downside is we need to drive about an hour to come here — but even so, we’d happily come back. ????????

What an amazing restaurant. From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff were wonderful. The service was to notch. The food was freshly made there was no long waiting for our orders. There was a a big table of people celebrating and that did dot slow see staff and orders down. I highly recommend that you come and try the restaurant you will not be disappointed. Ordered pickup of 3 pasta dishes and the place was pretty full but still had plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly staff, good timings on the wait for pick up. Didn't have to wait too much longer than their quoted time of 20 minutes. We got a gnocchi, the carbonara and mushroom/truffle. All the pasta was cooked to perfection with the main feedback being the saltiness of the carbonara being a bit too intense. The mushroom/truffle sauce was the best! Highly recommend! Well done. We'll probably fine in next time and try more dishes!
I have eaten pizza and pasta all over the world including many places through Italy. This is arguably the very best pizza and pasta I have had in a very long time, the ingredients are fresh, the flavours are mouth watering and the pizza base is at another level of excellence. The prawn risotto was outstanding also. This place has the potential of being in the Top 10 pizzas in the world. Yum!!!
We traveled a long way to get here, and it was absolutely worth it. The pizzas were outstanding, the Amaretto Sour cocktail was perfectly balanced, and the prawn risotto was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. I also loved the seafood pasta—so good I forgot to take a photo because I was already full from all the delicious dishes 1000 out of 100 P/s: Their hot chocolate is also very nice, rich and creamy texture that i haven’t had before
Booked for my Mum's Birthday. Unfortunately we had to be seated outside as it was already fully booked inside but Luca and the team went out of their way to make sure we were near heaters and provided us with warm blankets which was a nice touch. The Woodfired Pizza at this place is next level! Full of flavour and the dough was so light a fluffy, best Pizza I've ever had.
Pleasantly surprised by this gem of a find in this location. Quality authentic Italian. Great fresh pizzas & pastas. Although I would have liked their Mortadella pizza with the burrata to be served a tad warmer - the mortadella & burrata was too cold and seemed to come straight out of the fridge & arranged on the warm pizza dough which did not warm the ingredients making for a cold pizza. Having said that the pastas were delicious, sauces were on point and not overpowering. Definitely will be back to try their other pizzas because I totally love their bases.

The truffle parmesan chips ($15) were addictive, golden, crispy & paired so well with the truffle mayo. The gnocco fritto ($25) was a standout, with crispy fried dough paired perfectly with freshly shaved prosciutto & stracciatella. The gnocchi sorrentina ($32) was pure comfort, with a glorious cheese pull and a rich, tomatoey sauce that tasted amazing. It was all in a bread bowl which soaked up the sauce & had the woodfired taste! The special pizza was next-level - mozzarella, scallops, crispy guanciale, corn cream, balsamic glaze, and shaved parmesan - an inventive combination that just worked. We also had mussels in marinara, and they were fresh, sweet, and perfectly cooked with no grit at all. La Calabrese is proof that some of the best food is found in the most unassuming places 1 definitely worth seeking out.
